Happy yellow

Bright yellow was hot last year, it’s been even hotter through spring and summer this year and, judging from its appearances in autumn collections, it looks like it’s here to stay a while – hoorah! Bright yellow is a favourite colour for many (and a very close second to my favourite teal) and it’s easy to see why, as it’s such a happy uplifting sunshiny colour. Being a strong colour, even a little goes a long way…

Animal hide furniture and furnishings popped with yellow – that’s a thumbs up from me!

Bold monochrome stripes + cutesy yellow chair with pink trim = fabulous style!

Small space, big style!

Just add art…

Modern rustic gorgeousness!

Big cushy sunflower yellow sofa to sink into = bliss!

Classic trick for introducing colour to a room – wallpaper or paint the back of shelves.

Thinking about painting your doors?

How sweet is this?!

I really admire the boldness of this decor and while I could never pull it off in my home, it is so much fun to look at!
